With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Wilma Whitt, a cherished member of the New Boston community. Wilma, born on November 21, 1956, in Beauty, Kentucky, peacefully transitioned on June 12, 2024, at her residence in New Boston, Ohio.

Wilma was a devoted homemaker and loving mother survived by her sons, Shane Whitt of Portsmouth, Herman "J.R." (Lashonda) Hickman Jr. of California, Brandon (Brandy Coyle) Whitt of Wheelersburg, and her daughter, Dana Whitt of South Shore, KY. She was a beloved grandmother to eighteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild, a testament to the love and joy she brought to her family.

In her journey, Wilma was preceded by her parents Olaf and Nancy Ann (Nee Burton) Whitt, two sons: Leslee and Jessee Whitt, a daughter Tifnie Ann Whitt, and granddaughter Allisa Ann Scarbary, who now await her in a better place.

An independent and strong-willed woman, Wilma loved watching soap operas, shopping, playing bingo, and attending church. She had a reputation for her candid nature, never shying away from speaking her mind. Her faithful fur baby, Missy, held a special place in her heart.
