It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Walter "Jeff" Logan, who left this world on July 12, 2025, at the age of 56. Born on June 16, 1969, in Garrison, Kentucky, Jeff lived a life full of color and warmth, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by family and friends.
A dedicated painter in the construction industry, Jeff approached his work with the same passion that he brought to every aspect of his life. He was a craftsman in spirit, transforming spaces with his expertise that reflected his love for life.
Jeff was known fondly as "Jeff the Chef," a title he earned through his cooking skills. He enjoyed creating meals that brought family and friends together, sharing laughter and stories around the dinner table. His spontaneous trips to West Virginia, adventures on his motorcycle, and friendly darts games were but a few of the fun times that filled his life with joy. He had a special way of making even the simplest moments feel extraordinary, whether he was watching television, listening to music, or simply enjoying the companionship of his beloved animals.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife, Sue Logan, whose partnership was a testament to their deep love and companionship. Together, they built Nineteen years of a life rich in memories, conversation, and shared laughter. His four sons: Ricky Glenn Kelley, Jr. of County, WVA, "JD" Jeffrey Don Logan of Portsmouth, Cody Fisher of Portsmouth, Christian Scarberry of Portsmouth, four grandchildren Addison and Madison Kelley, and Delilah and Christian Scarberry, Jr.; sisters: Emma (Kevin) Phillips of New Boston, Debra (Fred) Morris of Portsmouth, Snowa (Jeff Eubanks) Jordan of Sciotoville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Randall and Rinda (Nee Fraley) Logan and four brothers: Randall Logan, Jr., Jerome Randall Logan, Danny Lee Logan and Russell Dewayne Logan and one sister Jacqueline 'Jackie" Logan.
As we navigate the days ahead, we will carry Jeff's spirit with us, forever inspired by his warmth, creativity, and unyielding love for those around him. May he rest in peace, embraced by the same love he so generously shared throughout his life.
