Vickie Lynn Wellbaum, 66, of Columbus, OH, passed away in her sleep on October 17, 2023. She was born on September 7, 1957 in Decatur, Illinois. Vickie was known for her funny and compassionate nature. She had a special ability to connect with people and never met a stranger. She passed that down to her son and grandchildren!

Vickie is survived by her son, Jeremy Wellbaum (Katie), her brother, Steve Wellbaum (Deborah), her sister, Nancy Wellbaum, her nieces Anne Jackson Wellbaum (Tim) and Megan Derrig (Tim), her grandchildren Olive, John, and Molly, as well as her grandnieces Ripley and Alice. She was preceded in death by her father, John Wellbaum, her mother, Winnie Wellbaum (Eastham), and her sister, Linda.

Vickie attended Eastmoor High School and later pursued her education at Columbus State Community College. She had a successful career in accounting and worked as a product specialist.

Vickie was a member of the East Baptist Church, where she fellowshipped with friends and family.

In her free time, Vickie enjoyed knitting, crocheting, attending comic-cons and indulging in her love for the Outlander series. Above all, she cherished her role as a grandmother and was known for being an awesome friend.

Vickie was never one to turn down a hug, and would always look to make others feel better!
