Sarah "Shay" Litreal, born on August 1, 1952, in Chillicothe, Ohio, passed away on January 13, 2026, in Wheelersburg, Ohio, at the age of 73. Shay was a beloved mother, cherished friend, and a spirited soul whose life was a tapestry woven with love, creativity, and a deep appreciation for family.

As a devoted homemaker, Shay found joy in nurturing her loved ones and creating a warm and welcoming home. Her daughters: Sandy (Chad) Wilson of Ashland, Mary Ann Litreal of Lucasville, Carla (Keith) Warren of Lucasville, Dwayne Litreal of Texas, four brothers: Glen (Denise) Ault of Piketon, Jerry "Tony" (Rhonda) Ault of Springfield, Rocky (Kathy) Ault of Wheelersburg, Clifford Ault of Minford, her three granddaughters: Hannah (Trey) Reed, Emma Ginn and August Wilson; two great granddaughters, Kynzlee and Charlotte Reed, and a special longtime friend, Mary Spencer, were the center of her universe, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them. Shay's love for antiquing led her to many adventures, particularly to her favorite haunt, "Ghost in the Attic," where she delighted in uncovering hidden treasures.

A talented musician at heart, Shay wrote songs that echoed her love for music, through which, she had the privilege of meeting legendary artists such as Loretta Lynn and Tanya Tucker. Shay also shared her gifts as a spiritual advisor and minister, guiding those around her with wisdom and compassion. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her family, as she touched the lives of many who sought her guidance.

In her leisure, Shay found joy in the enchanting world of reborn dolls, which she collected and cherished. They served as a testament to her artistic flair and passion for bringing comfort to others.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Clara (Nee Sexton) Ault, her sister Tammy Ault, and her loving husband of over twenty years when he passed in 2020, Robert Litreal.

Shay's earthly journey has concluded, but her spirit will forever shine in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be laid to rest through cremation, with her ashes placed at a meaningful location to be decided by her family.

In this time of sorrow, we invite all who remember Shay to join in celebrating a life rich with love, creativity, and devotion. Let us carry her light forward as we cherish the memories she has left behind.
