Ronald "Ron" Floyd, born on July 29, 1944, in Grayson, Kentucky, peacefully departed this life on September 17, 2025, at the age of 81. Ron was a devoted husband to Wanda Floyd, with whom he shared 52 beautiful years of marriage, together for a loving 54 years. He also leaves behind his daughter Angela (Terry Richmond) Moore of Franklin Furnace; three grandchildren: Cody Ronald (Megan) Floyd of Galliopolis, Travis (Jill) Floyd South Shore, C.J. (Heather) Moore of Franklin Furnace; four great grandchildren: Skye Floyd, Travis Floyd, Jr., Paisley Moore, and Noah Moore; one sister Charlene Michael of New Boston and many more family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Mondane (Nee McMillan) Floyd and seven brothers.
A mechanic by trade, Ron dedicated his career to the trucking industry, where his reputation for hard work and craftsmanship flourished. Despite his lack of formal education, his practical knowledge and skills earned him respect from friends and colleagues alike.
Ron cherished spending time with his family, always making space for moments to fish and hunt, activities that not only brought him joy but also created lasting memories.
Ron Floyd's presence will be deeply missed, yet his love and spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched throughout his remarkable life.
