Robert "R.J." Joe Holsinger

Robert Joe Holsinger, Sr., 86, longtime Portsmouth resident, currently residing in Leesburg, FL, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, was called to his eternal resting place on February 6, 2021. He entered this world on August 17, 1934 in Portsmouth, OH, born to the late Floyd and Cora (Nee: Colley) Holsinger. He was also preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Floyd Holsinger and one sister, Mildred Windsor. Retired owner of Bob & Floyd Tires for many years, which has been a family-owned icon of the Portsmouth area for many years. He was a member of First Christian Church, and a large supporter of Scioto County 4H for many years. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Amanda Louise (Nee: Sparks) Holsinger of Leesburg, FL, three children Barbara (Ed) Ingles, of West Portsmouth, Ohio, Robert Joe (Leigh Ann) Holsinger, Jr. of Wheelersburg, Ohio and Kimberly (Glenn) Sparks of Moore Haven, Florida, five grandchildren: Erica (Seth) McDermott of Stout, Ohio, Edward Shane (Beth) Ingles of Stout, Ohio, Robert Joe (Amy) Holsinger, III of Wheelersburg, Ohio, Ashley (Jarrod) Harmon of Columbus, Ohio and Branch Joseph Doll of Moore Haven, Florida; Eight great grandchildren, Robert Joe Holsinger IV, William Andrew Holsinger, Sydney McDermott, Rylee McDermott, Emma Holsinger, Carter Ingles, Clara and Daphne Harmon, one sister, Betty Pistole of TN, and the entire Sparks Family of South Shore, KY and many nieces and nephews and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February, 18th, 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Friday, February, 19th, 11:00 PM to 1:00 PM with a Funeral Service immediately following at 1:00 PM, all at F.C.
