Richard Sharp, 62, of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away on June 18, 2026. He was born on July 1, 1963, and was a graduate of Ironton High School, Class of 1981. Richard worked as a welder.

He enjoyed fishing, video games, and the loyal companionship of his dog.

Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Linda K. VanHorn (née Easterling), and his sister, Belinda (nee Sharp) Trapp.

He leaves behind his stepfather, Tedd VanHorn; his brother, Greg (Missy) VanHorn of Ironton; his daughters, Danielle of Wisconsin and Carlie Jarvis of Ashland, Kentucky; four grandchildren; his nephew, Scott (Jennifer) Sharp of Flatwoods, Kentucky; and his niece, Leanna Akers of Ironton.

Richard will be cremated. Services are in the care of F.C. Daehler Mortuary Co., 915 Ninth Street, Portsmouth, Ohio 45662, (740) 353-4146.
