With heavy hearts and bittersweet smiles, we announce the passing of our beloved Rebecca "Donelle" Dennison-Wood, who left this world peacefully on August 5, 2026, at the age of 52. Born on February 12, 1974, in Huntington, WV, Donelle embraced life with a warm heart and an unwavering spirit. After a long and courageous battle with health issues, she now rests, free from pain, surrounded by the love and faith that defined her.

Donelle was a caregiver in every sense of the word, dedicating her life to nurturing others with kindness and compassion. As a faithful Christian and proud member of New Freedom Community Church Fellowship and Breaking the Chains Ministries, she poured herself into church activities, finding joy in giving back and helping those in need. Her unwavering strength, fierce resilience, and a touch of stubbornness made her a force to be reckoned with, but it was her loving nature that left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her cherished sons, Andre "Darian" Howard of Chesapeake, OH; Josh Payne of South Point, OH; and Jordan Dennison of St. Albans, WV, along with her four grandchildren, Julian, Harlow, Kinleigh, and Kade, whose laughter was her greatest joy. She leaves behind her loving brothers, Justin Dennison of South Point, OH, and Taylor Banaei of Chesapeake, OH. Donelle was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 15 years, Doug Wood, who passed in 2024, and her beloved mother, Tressa Jean Dennison-Banaei.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the many friends who lifted Donelle up during her health struggles, providing friendship and support when it was needed most. Your kindness has been a beacon of light, showing us the true meaning of community.

Though she may rest, Donelle's legacy will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved her. Let us carry her memory forward, celebrating a life of love, giving, and unwavering faith.

In honor of Donelle's vibrant life, a memorial service will be held at The Elks in Huntington, WV, on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 2:00-4:00 PM, celebrating her spirit and the love she so generously shared with the world.
