Lula Mae Schneider, beloved mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed peacefully into eternal rest on September 4, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on April 2, 1946, in Portsmouth, Ohio, Lula was a devoted daughter to Edward and Della Deemer and a proud Lucasville, Ohio resident.

Lula lived a life filled with compassion and joy, touching the hearts of those around her. She not only cleaned houses, she was a dedicated employee at the A-Plant in custodial services, where she built lasting friendships. After retiring, Lula became an active member of the Salem Community Church, where she found great fulfillment in participating in Bible study and various church activities.

Lula was known for her love of gathering with friends, affectionately known as the "Golden Girls," where laughter and camaraderie were abundant during their frequent card games. Her favorite pastime was playing "9 Hole Golf," showcasing her competitive spirit and love for friendly fun. She also enjoyed crafting beautiful quilts, sewing, and crocheting, which reflected her nurturing personality and creativity.

Lula was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Della Deemer, her beloved husband, Charles Schneider, her sister and brother in law, Virgina and Paul Bliss, her brothers and sister in law, Larry Deemer, and James and Shirley Deemer.

A passionate traveler, Lula cherished memories made while camping and savoring the sun on the beaches of Sebastian, Florida. One of her greatest joys was watching her grandchild proudly perform with the OSU Marching Band, a proud moment that captured her heart.

She is survived by her loving sons, Brian (Lucy) Throckmorton of Galena, OH and David Throckmorton of Guthrie, her beloved daughter, Crystal Davis of Portsmouth, and her adoring grandchildren: Nicholas Lewis, Jacob Carver, Lauren Davis, Victoria (Doug) Espie, Gallen (Nichelle) Randall, Andrew (Andrea) Throckmorton, and Adam (Erica) Throckmorton; great grandchildren: Jarreth Halley, Camillia Espie and Elianna Espie; siblings: Marge (Jim) Richey, Beverly (Dan) Bennington and Norma (Jerry) Stephenson, and many friends.
