Kimberly Jean Ellis, 58, of Portsmouth, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 24, 2026.

Kimberly was a preschool bus driver and took great pride in caring for and helping the children she transported. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who cherished the time she spent with her family.

Kimberly enjoyed traveling, having cookouts with her family, playing bingo, and reading. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise (Latham) Grey; her father, Fred Grimmette; and her husband, Bruce Ellis.

Kimberly is survived by her son, Randy Grimmette of Portsmouth; her daughter, Sara Carpenter of Portsmouth; her brother, Daryl Griffith of Columbus; and her sister, Misy Grimmette of Columbus. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Aiden Carpenter, T. J. Mallory, Isiah Williams, Elijah Grimmette, and Raylee Grimmette.

Kimberly will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
