An angel came down from heaven and took Kimmie to be with Jesus. It is with heavy hearts and the loss that we feel that we announce the passing of Kim Isabella Gutierrez, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, who transitioned from this life on July 1, 2025. Born on December 27, 1960, in Chillicothe, Ohio, Kim spent her life celebrating the joy of family and the beauty of the world around her.
Growing up on a farm, Kim developed an appreciation for nature that would last a lifetime. She found immense joy in her beloved plants, both indoor and out, and cherished peaceful days spent fishing. Kim was a dedicated homemaker, deeply committed to her family and the well-being of those she loved, especially for her son, Michael James Wilson II, who was the true love of her life.
The warmth of family extended to her loving and caring husband, Arthur Eugene Gutierrez, and her devoted sister, Theresa Renee McMahon, who resides in Texas City, Texas. Kim is also survived by her dear brother, Thomas Grant Bailey II, of Alvin, Texas, and her cherished nephew, Dareian McMahon.
While they lament the loss of their beautiful Kim, her family finds comfort in their cherished memories. From heartfelt family gatherings to her playful antics with her two beloved Chihuahuas, Shadrach and Bella, who brought endless joy for 16 wonderful years, Kim's spirit will forever be a source of light.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents, Barbara Charlene Haggerty Bailey and Thomas Grant Bailey, as well as her brothers, Johnny Mullenix Jr. and Michael Craig Bailey. Together these memories and legacies weave a tapestry of love that will continue to inspire her family and friends.
In honor of Kim's life, we invite all who knew and loved her to join us in celebrating her memory. The funeral services will take place at a later date at 915 9th Street, Portsmouth, OH 45662, where we will gather to share stories, laughter, and love, just as Kim would have wanted.
Let us come together to remember Kim not with sorrow, but with gratitude for the warmth and love she brought into our lives.
