Joseph Alanos, 68, of New Boston, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at SOMC.

Joseph was an Army Veteran.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Dreama Alanos; a daughter, Shalmirah (James) Fiqueroa, of Newark, NJ; a stepdaughter, Amanda Salyers, of West Portsmouth; a stepson, Jason (Dani) Koenig, of Washington Courthouse; two brother-in-laws; Tony (Brenda) Scott, of Vanceburg, Ky, and Tim (Marsha) Scott, of Quincy, Ky; two sisters, Debra Alanos and Beverly Ricks, both of Savannah, Ga.; and two aunts, Rachael Hall and Martha Carter, both of Georgia. Joseph had two very special caregivers, Freddie and Amber Simmering. He had three granddaughters and many nieces and nephews.
