John "Mark" Wilson
February 4, 1961 - October 9, 2026
Wheelersburg Resident
FC Daehler Mortuary
United States Marine Veteran
John "Mark" Wilson, 65, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on October 9, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born to Les and Janet Wilson, Mark was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. A true family man, he treasured time spent with those he loved most. Mark enjoyed hunting and had a wonderful sense of humor that could bring laughter to almost any situation. Known for his ornery personality and stubborn streak, he had a special way of keeping everyone on their toes. But beneath that stubborn exterior was a man with a heart full of love for his family. He leaves behind countless memories, stories, and laughter that will be cherished for years to come. His favorite verse was John 3:16.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Les and Janet Wilson; his sister and brother-in-law, Becky and John D. Rollins; and his brother, Michael "Bodey" Wilson.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Crystal; two daughters, Deavyn (A.J.) Boyd and Shayna (Greg) Copas; and five cherished grandchildren, Maelynn, Myles, and Mavery Copas, Coleson Lykins, and Mark Boyd Jr.
He is also survived by his sisters, Cathy Wilson of Lakewood, Colorado, Barbara (Richard) Gilcher of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and Jean (Bruce) Clay of Beavercreek, Ohio; his in-laws, Anthony and Barbara Ware and William (Sally) Munyon of Florida; brother-in-law, David (Amanda) Howard; special nephew, Andrew Rollins; several nieces and nephews; and special family friends, Brooke (Ronnie) Euton and Brooklyn Steele.
Mark also leaves behind his beloved Great Dane, Kane, who was more than just a pet. Kane was his loyal companion, a source of comfort, and a faithful friend who held a special place in his heart.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of SOMC Hospice for the compassionate care, kindness, and support they provided to Mark and his family during his final days.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026,
