Jerry Lee Phillips, 83 years old, lifetime Scioto County resident, went home to be with the Lord on June 14th, 2022.
Jerry was a 1957 graduate of Clay High School, and US Army Veteran. He was a faithful member of Rubyville Community Church. His faith in Jesus Christ, family, golf and cooking were very special to him. He enjoyed his annual family vacations to Myrtle Beach. He was fun and quick witted and enjoyed 4H and his animals on the farm. He cherished his time with his two great grandchildren Mia and Lane. Jerry was the Owner and General Contractor for Jerry Phillips, LLC. located in West Portsmouth.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Florence (Nee McCain) Phillips, one brother, Gene Phillips, and one sister, Jackie Knauff, one daughter, Laura Phillips, granddaughter Lacie Greenhill, and great grandson, Bryson Greenhill.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Diane (Nee Williamson) Phillips of Portsmouth, three sons, Timmy Phillips of Portsmouth, Eric Phillips of Marysville, and Jeremy (Tammy) Phillips of Stout, six grandchildren, Madison, Hayden, A.J. and Marion Phillips, Austin (Bobbie Jo) and Brandi Bricker, and five great grandchildren: Mia and Lane DeLotell, Caid and Crew Cantrell, and Andie Jo Bricker.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 5 to 7 PM.
Funeral Service will be Friday, June 17, 2022 at 11 AM, all at F.C. Daehler Mortuary, 915 Ninth Street, Portsmouth, OH 45662. Pastor Calvin Ray Evans will be officiating. Burial immediately following in Rosemount Cemetery with Military Honors.
