It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerome Tomasheski, who left us peacefully on June 9, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on March 29, 1960, in Camden, NJ, Jerome was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend whose spirit touched all who knew him.
A dedicated man, Jerome was proud to work in the construction industry as a demolition and hauling expert until his retirement. He embraced the outdoors with unyielding passion, often found hiking through the woods, fishing in tranquil waters, or joyfully playing on the family farm. His cherished moments were spent around campfires, where laughter and stories would abound.
Jerome had an undeniable love for music, which brought him joy as he danced on the porch with his beloved wife, Michelle, creating lasting memories that radiated warmth and love. He found his greatest happiness in the company of his family, especially his granddaughter, Prudence, with whom he loved to share the wonders of the great outdoors.
Jerome is survived by his devoted spouse, Michelle Tomasheski; one son, Jerome Benjamin (Amanda) Tomasheski, II, one daughter, Chelsea Tomasheski, two brothers: Michael (Victoria) and Christopher Tomasheski, four sisters: Eileen Meyers, Marisa (Juan) Gonzales, Andrea (Oscar) Leichliter, Janice (Jason) Pawlak, and one granddaughter, Pruedence Tomasheski.
His absence will be deeply felt by all who were, enough to know him.
He was preceded in death by his loving father, Michael and his caring mother, Ann Tomasheski, and his brother Philip Tomasheski.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a local charity that supports outdoor activities for children, reflecting Jerome's passion for nature and his love for family.
The funeral service will be this Saturday, June 14, 2025, 10:00 to 12Noon, at Fortunas in Independence, Ohio. Father Jasney, from St. Johns, will be officiating at 11:45 am.
May Jerome Tomasheski rest in peace, forever remembered in the hearts of those he loved so dearly.
