Grigore "Greg" F. Beldean
February 25, 1965 - April 17, 2026
Lucasville Resident
FC Daehler Mortuary
With deep sorrow and a profound sense of loss, we announce the passing of Grigore "Greg" F. Beldean, a beloved husband, devoted dog enthusiast. Greg was born on February 25, 1965, in Gherla, Cluj, Romania, and he peacefully departed this life on April 17, 2026, at SOMC Hospice in Portsmouth, Ohio, with his loving wife, Karen Rice, by his side, as prayers for peace and rest surrounded him.
Greg was a man of many passions, known particularly for his love of dogs. As a dedicated member of the American Miniature Schnauzer Club, he took immense pride in showing his dogs and achieved numerous championships as the proud owner of V. Brukenthal Kennels. His enthusiasm for these remarkable companions was matched only by his dedication to excellence in every endeavor he pursued.
Greg was also the owner of Scioto Xpress Trucking Company. He thoroughly enjoyed traversing the sprawling landscapes of the United States, taking in the rich beauty and diversity of the countryside. Greg's work offered him not only a livelihood but also countless memories of travel and connection.
He leaves behind his cherished spouse, Karen Nadeen (Nee Rice) Rice, who will forever hold him close in her heart. The love they shared was a testament to a beautiful partnership forged in mutual respect, admiration, and companionship; his beloved Mother, Jenica (Nee Tecar) Beldean, daughter Oana Beldean, one sister, Monica Eugenia (Nee Beldean) Vlaicu, nieces: Ioana Cristina Vlaicu, Iulia Monica Vlaicu and Laura Mara Vlaicu, and one nephew Paul Andrei Vlaicu, all of Sibiu, Romania; and one step daughter, Heather D. (Nee Hartley) Spengler of Thurman, Ohio. Greg was preceded in death by his beloved Father, Grigore Beldean.
Greg's life will be celebrated with dignity and reverence. The Memorial services will be held at a later date to be announced, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and share stories of his impact on their lives. Details regarding the ceremonies will follow.
Greg will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
