Gary Richard "Rick" Shaw, Jr., 62 years old, resident of Portsmouth, peacefully passed away on August 1, 2023, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Rick was born on May 7, 1961, in Portsmouth Ohio to his parents, Maxine (Nee Howard) and Gary Richard Shaw, Sr.

He was an avid guitar player and always loved the electric guitar. Some of his favorite groups includedand: Lynard Skynard, Guns N Roses, and Kiss. Music gave him peace and joy. Rick also had a love for motorcycles. He will be loved and missed by many.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Maxine (Nee Howard) and Gary Richard Shaw, Sr. and one sister Gina Ann Shaw.

He is survived by his four children: Gary Richard Shaw, III, Rheena Nichole Shaw, Ricky Ray Shaw and Trista Dawn Shaw; four grandchildren and uncle Jack Shaw, cousins Harlan and Carla Shaw, and many more aunts, uncles, cousins nieces and nephews.
