Douglas L. Brunner, Sr.
January 4, 1961 - November 4, 2025
Resident of Portsmouth,Ohio
FC Daehler Mortuary
Doug was, above all, a devoted family man. For thirty-one, wonderful years, he stood by the side of his beloved wife, Dianna. He dedicated himself to raising their children, imparting valuable life lessons and shaping their character with great care. It filled him with immense pride to see them blossom into remarkable adults.
In the fall, Doug relished cheering on his favorite teams, the Bengals and the Buckeyes. His passion for the outdoors was evident in his many pursuits-camping, fishing, and especially gardening.
He treated his dog, Bear, as if he were one of his own children, showering him with love and affection. Music was another of Doug's great loves, with a particular fondness for classic rock and an unwavering admiration for Elvis Presley.
His infectious laughter could light up any room, drawing people in with his warmth and humor. Doug lived life on his own terms, embracing every moment.
To some, he was affectionately known as Uncle Dougie; to others, he was a cherished friend, a beloved brother, a devoted father, and a proud grandfather. But to everyone who knew him, he was simply a genuinely good man. His absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
