Doris Daphene Mullins 95, of Portsmouth, left her earthly home to enter God's beautiful
eternal life on Monday, February 6, 2023. She was born to the late Pascle Granger Liles and Frances Belle "Fannie" (Nee Scott) Liles, on January 25, 1928. She graduated from Lewis County High School in 1945. She often said that all the boys in her class were drafted to serve in World War II.

On June 25, 1947, she married Earcel "Zeke" Mullins. They were married 67-years, until his death in 2015. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa Potts, brother Tom Liles, and an infant sister, Shirlene Liles.

Doris and Zeke were blessed with five children: William Earcel Mullins (Shelby), Judy Mullins Swanson (Charlie), Larry Dale Mullins (Maggie), Michael Scot Mullins (Kelly), and Lisa Ruth Mullins Potts (Richard). She is survived by four of her children, her sister Ruth Poynter, her brothers Rodney Liles, Dale Liles (Bea). Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren; Shelly Hickman, Brian Hickman (Brenda), Jonah Mullins, Rachel Andon, Cody Mullins (Whitney), Chelsey Gose, Gaelen Mullins, Cailey Cooke (Conor), Dylan Mullins, Ebbie Potts, Brittany Williams (Ronnie), Christopher Hickman, Raymond Swanson, fifteen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Central Church of Christ, a Girl Scout leader for many years, as well as a Cub Scout, den mother, and PTA President. Doris and her husband hosted a popular radio program on WPAY and WNXT for many years. They also operated a successful tour business, traveling throughout the USA.

Visitation will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023, 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Funeral service will be Friday, February 10, 2023 at 12:00 PM(NOON),  with a visitation an hour before, all at FC Daehler Mortuary, 915 Ninth Street, Portsmouth, OH.  
Burial immediately following in Stone Family Cemetery, Camp Dix (Lewis Cty), KY.  Pastor Danny Bentley will be officiating. 

The family wishes to express their gratitude to SOMC and SOMC Hospice for their care and kindness. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Central Church of Christ, 1211 Grandview Avenue, Portsmouth, OH 45662.

She will rest beside her beloved husband Zeke. Beyond the Sunset Oh Glorious Dawning.
