Cyril Roach

Cyril Rex Roach, 58 years old, longtime Portsmouth resident, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022, after a long illness.

Rex was born July 11, 1964, in Huntington, West Virginia, to John J. and Monica (Nee Klobusicky) Roach, who preceded him in death. Rex was also preceded in death by his nephew, Aaron Roach.

Rex was a 1983 graduate of Portsmouth High School and former employee of Roach Hearing Aid Center. Rex had an easy smile, always clowning around making people laugh. Family and friends fondly recall memories of his antics, leaving his loved ones with many laughs. Rex was kind to all he met and had a loving heart that knew no bounds. Rex was a lifelong Cincinnati Reds fan and a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.

Rex is survived by daughters: Melaney Roach of Clermont County and Caroline Roach (Travis Fitzpatrick) of Rarden, grandchildren Noah Dettwiller, Alana Younker and Felix Fitzpatrick, brother John Roach (Debbie) of South Point, Ohio, two sisters: Cindy (Rick) Hopkins of Portsmouth, Ohio and Liz (Rick) Spaulding of Calabash, North Carolina and several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Graveside services will be for immediate family with a celebration of life planned for a later date.
