Charles "Chuck" William Shaffer, 72 years old, Lucasville resident, formerly of San Diego, CA, passed away peacefully, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on February 15, 2023, at SOMC Hospice House.
Chuck always put others first and enjoyed spending his time mowing grass. He was a kind, caring, helpful brother, father, grandfather and friend. Chuck was a Job Superintendent on heavy equipment and dirt moving jobs, and worked for companies such as, Aims, Cass, and R E Monks Construction Company. He was responsible for the Historic Navajo Bridge and other jobs all over the United States.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. and Peggy A. Shaffer, three brothers: Ronald and Jeffrey Shaffer and Scott Kelley and one brother-in-law, Harold Martin.
He is survived by one daughter, Shontel Shaffer of Lucasville, one son Shannon (Limnyuy) Shaffer of Mt. Vernon, four sisters: Carleeta Martin of New Boston, Teena (Fred) Toops of Columbus, Kimberly (Mark) Edwards of Sciotoville, Sue Shaffer of Ashland, KY; five brothers: Kevin (Yvonnda) Shaffer of Rubyville, Timothy (Ellen) Shaffer of Lucasville, Herbie Kelley of Jackson, Barry (Sandy) Sexton of Franklin Furnace, Darryl (Tess) Sexton of Wheelersburg, step mother Gladys Shaffer of Wheelersburg, five grandchilren: Trevor (Megan) Dickerson of Mt Vernon, Cierra (Matt) Ott of Mt Vernon, Cody Davis of Centerburg, Aspen (Cheyenne) Hall of Sciotoville, London Hall of Lucasville, and nine great grandchildren, many neices, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at 1114 Flatwood Fallen Timber Road, Lucasville, OH 45648.
