Brenda Bentley Brenda K. Bentley, July 29, 1949 - May 30, 2025, West Portsmouth resident FC Daehler Mortuary It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brenda K. Bentley, age 75, who left us on May 30, 2025. Born on July 29, 1949, in Portsmouth, Ohio, Brenda was a cherished wife, devoted mother, and loving grandmother who touched the lives of all who knew her.

Brenda was a 1967 graduate of Portsmouth West High School. She married her husband, Gary Bentley, Sr. on March 11, 1967.

Brenda dedicated over forty years of her life to working as an insurance agent for various local companies, including her time with the State of Ohio. Beyond her career, Brenda was a true homemaker at heart. She found joy in cooking and baking for her family and caring for her dog(s).

Brenda was also an avid reader who escaped into the pages of her favorite novels and a passionate camper who cherished the great outdoors.

Brenda and Gary, Sr., her husband of 59 years spent their years together camping and traveling to NASCAR races.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Gary, Sr. and their son, Gary "Spanky" (Hope Comer) Bentley Jr., five grandchildren: Brittany Bentley, Joseph "JoJo" (Kristy) Bentley, Kaleigh (Blake Tackett) Bentley, Shawna (Kaleb McAvoy) Briggs, and Anna Comer; sixteen Great Grandchildren: Braxton Bentley, Emma Akins, Addy Akins, Kinsley Simeona, Remington Tackett, Kayne Journey, Isabella Bentley, Leia Lynn, Levi Lynn, Logan Coppelette, Kira Stover, Bryson Stover, Ares McAvoy, Emmalyn McAvoy, Onyx McAvoy, Athena McAvoy, and two on the way, Sylus and Sienna McAvoy, all whom will carry her love and spirit in their hearts forever.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to Wheelersburg Animal Hospital.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Everett and Lorraine Hobbs, two brothers A special thanks to Dr. Saab & Jeff Ramey, NP at SOMC Pulmonary and Amy Spencer at Somc Heart & Vascular, SOMC Palliative Home Care, and SOMC Hospice, all of her health care team throughout the years.
