Billy Ray Morris (Bill), 75, of South Shore, Kentucky, passed away on May 22, 2026. He was born on March 9, 1951, in South Shore, Kentucky, to the late Hubert Morris and Emiline Morris.

Bill was born and raised in South Shore and was a true modern-day cowboy. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved riding horses, four-wheelers, hunting, gardening, and spending time with animals. He was very talented with his hands and could do just about anything, including braiding leather and carving. Bill was known by many as "Uncle Bill," and he will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his free spirit, and the memories he made with those who loved him.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sons, Nathan Morris and Billy Morris Jr.; and his brothers, Paul Morris, John Morris, George Morris, and Bob Morris.

He is survived by his son, Josh (Cassie) Morris of Portsmouth, Ohio; his daughters, Heidi ("Smokey") Northrop of Rocky Mount, Virginia, and Heather Morris of Raleigh, North Carolina; 26 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Bill will be deeply missed by all those who knew him as Dad, Papaw, and Uncle Bill.
