Billy Ray Morris, 75, of South Shore, Kentucky, passed away on May 22, 2026. He was born on March 9, 1951, in South Shore, Kentucky, to the late Hubert Morris and Emiline Morris.
Billy was born and raised in South Shore and was a true modern-day cowboy. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved riding horses, four-wheelers, hunting, gardening, and spending time with animals. He was very talented with his hands and could do just about anything, including braiding leather and carving. Billy was known by many as "Uncle Bill," and he will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, his hardworking spirit, and the memories he made with those who loved him.
Billy lived out his last days with his twin sister, Betty, who lovingly cared for him.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his sons, Nathan Morris and Billy Morris Jr.; and his brothers, Paul Morris, John Morris, George Morris, and Bob Morris.
He is survived by his son, Josh (Cassie) Morris of Portsmouth, Ohio; his daughters, Heidi ("Smokey") Northrop of Rocky Mount, Virginia, and Heather Morris of Raleigh, North Carolina; his twin sister, Betty (Lonnie) Nagel of Wheelersburg, Ohio; 26 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Billy will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him as Uncle Bill.
