It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Billie Hornikel, a beloved mother, dedicated housewife, and member of the Portsmouth community. Billie was born on May 11, 1951, in Portsmouth, OH, and she peacefully departed this world on August 28, 2025, at the age of 74.

Billie was the epitome of a nurturing spirit. She found joy in caring for her family, pouring her heart into being a wonderful cook and an exceptional housekeeper.

She was preceded in death by her son, Rusty Parker, parents, William "Bill" and Joann Fraley, two sisters, Renee and Terri, and two brothers, Dave and Danny.

Her wisdom and love were unparalleled. She was a true homebody, finding happiness in the simple pleasures of family life and the comfort of home.

Billie is survived by two sons: Donald Parker of Portsmouth and Keith (Stacy) Hornikel of Wheelersburg, four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

In this time of mourning, we take comfort in remembering the light that Billie brought into our lives. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. Rest in peace, Billie.
