Betty Lou Lafferty, 80 years old, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024 in SOMC Hospice and Palliative Care.

She was born on October 1, 1945 in Urbana, Ohio to the late Cecil Mangus and Gladys (Nee Litreal) Schmidt.

Betty graduated with a Bachelors degree from Shawnee State University, and was the owner of a successful cleaning business.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Alice (Peg), Kenneth (Jake) and Damon.

Betty is survived by her partner and best friend Frank Lafferty; her daughters: Julia (Steven) Fitzgerald of Clermont, FL and Jennie Collins of Centerville, OH, one son, Bruce (Debbie) Toomire of South Shore, KY and her brother, Floyd (Connie) Mangus of Urbana, OH, eight grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
