Barbara "Barbie" Ellen Malone, 45, of Hillsboro, Ohio, passed away on April 4, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

She was born on December 20, 1980, and from the very beginning she lived with a big heart and an open door. Barbie loved nothing more than having her family together. She had her husband, Tony Malone, build a big deck on the back of their home so she could fire up the grill, feed everyone, and sit outside laughing and talking. She was the rock of the family, the one who held everyone together, especially during holidays, birthdays, and remembrance gatherings in her backyard. During the summer months, her home became the place to be, with pool parties for anyone who wanted to come over and feel like family.

Barbie worked in retail and was known for her warm personality and kind spirit. She had a gift for making people feel seen and cared for, whether they were a customer, a neighbor, or a relative. Her gentle nature and big heart touched more people than she ever realized.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Lampkin; her father, David Hill of Hillsboro, her brother, Jeremiah Hill of Hillsboro, and her paternal grandparents, Barbara and Richard Hill of Hillsboro, along with other loved ones who now welcome her home.

She is survived by her husband, Tony Malone, whom she married on September 25, 2013; her son, Brian Lampkin of Hillsboro, her mother, Kathy (Liming) Hill of Dayton, her brothers, Donald Hill of Hillsboro, and Eric Adams of Peebles, her sister, Crystal (Tim) Easter of Hillsboro, her maternal grandparents, David and Artia Liming of Hillsboro, her grandchildren, Xavier, Lamar, Zendaya, Joshua, Violet, Kali, and Maya; and one great-grandchild, Steven. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly and will miss her deeply.

Barbie's legacy is one of love, generosity, and togetherness. She will be remembered for her cookouts on the deck, her backyard celebrations, her open invitation to anyone who needed a place to belong, and the way she always put family first. Her spirit will live on in the stories shared around the table, in the laughter at future gatherings, and in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. In keeping with her family's wishes, Barbie will be cremated.
