Born on October 10, 1961, in Portsmouth, he dedicated his life to helping others as a Heart Cath Lab Technician, skillfully serving at Southern Ohio Medical Center, OSU Hospital, and King's Daughters Medical Center over a distinguished career spanning more than three decades.

Andy was a devoted sports fan, passionately cheering for the Cincinnati Reds and the Ohio State Buckeyes. He also had a great love for golf and tennis, often found on the fairways or courts with friends and family. A lover of music, Andy cherished the sounds of the 70s and 80s, with a special fondness for Kenny Loggins. Summer by the beach was his favorite time of year, where he made unforgettable memories with loved ones.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Marilyn Barber of Chesapeake, VA, and his partner of twenty-one years, Janet Clark of Portsmouth, who was not only his love but also his closest friend. He is also survived by two loving daughters, Emily Barber of Columbus and Kristin Barber of San Diego, CA, one sister and brother in law, Cindy and Brent Kotcamp and one nephew, Kyle Kotcamp all of Chesapeake, VA, and one uncle Bud Stockham of Boston, MA.

He is preceded in death by his father George Barber.

Details of the service, including date, time, and location, will be announced as arrangements are finalized. Friends and family are encouraged to come together to honor Andy's legacy and share their cherished memories.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Andy's name to a charity of your choice, celebrating his compassionate spirit and dedication to helping others.

He will be deeply missed but will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
