Beatrice H Fortson

Beatrice H. Fortson "Bea" Lifetime Portsmouth resident Bea was born and raised in Portsmouth Ohio. After a brief illness, Bea, age 91, went to Glory to join her loved ones on June 9, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Fortson, son Larry Tracy, and six brothers and sisters. She is survived by three children, Barbara Marshall, Jeannie Miller and Mike Miller. Also her son's widow, Sheri Tracy of Florida. Five grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Donna and Kenny Tackett who welcomed Bea into their family which included all of their children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. They loved Bea and she loved them dearly. Too many friends to mention that Bea loved and who loved her. Bea was a 30 year hard working Sr. LPN (Retired) from SOMC, and a born and raised United Methodist Church Member. A private Memorial Service was held on June 18, 2021 at Friendship Cemetery in Nile Township. Officiated by Greg Carter. A special thanks to long time friends Greg and Carol Carter.
