A Special Announcement
Information on Funerals and COVID-19
During this time of uncertainty and turmoil, the F.C Daehler Funeral Home wants to let you know we are still here for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are always monitoring the situation and the guidelines for gatherings. We and the State of Ohio still believe that gathering and supporting one another at a time of loss is important, which is why the State of Ohio has exempted funerals from the public gathering ban. Still the recommendation from the Governor and the CDC is no more than 50 people at any gathering
We encourage you to follow the CDC recommendation to take the usual steps to help prevent the spread of illness:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available-based hand sanitizer with at least 60 percent alcohol. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Even though this is very difficult, we have asked our staff not to shake hands or hug people for both our staff’s safety and the safety of the families and guests.
To help during this difficult time the funeral home will offer to have private viewing time for elderly family members at the family’s request.
